The first step in your career search is to create a well laid out resume: keeping it to 2 pages or less is ideal. Below are several examples grouped into different industries and job types. Peruse as many as you like to see if you share similar experiences, skills or if you just like the layout. Copy and paste from the pdf file into your document then check for accuracy on dates, commands, locations and such.
